Pilgrimage

I feel that with every brush stroke I add to this, it gets worse.
Any thoughts, guys?
Cheers

I really enjoy the colours. I feel like you could make the preacher smaller and offset him a bit off center just for a little less stale composition. I am no expert on this however but it is my five cents :3

Keep up the briliance Kan!

I think its a really nice image btw saw it on sijun, just my 2 cent it has some nice soft edges going on, perhaps if you made the edge on the left side down his arm and coat very strong and refined, it would pop that shape out and add contrast to the soft edges elsewhere in the piece.

Generally looks good...
from a compositional point of view the four figures in the foreground are all the same size and all the same spacing, try varying and overlapping them.

Reading a Disney animation book years ago they taught their artists to avoid 'twins'.
Better design is to vary the poses of main figure and robot at right. They seem to compete with each other.

I fight the same battles, we all do. Sometimes I just can't see it and seek out feedback.

Keep painting...

Somehow my comment got lost, I'll try again...

Generally looks good, nice textural elements.

Compositionally the four figures in the foreground are all the same in size, placement and spacing... try varying them.
It's usually a good idea to avoid 'twins'... the main figure and robot at right are too much the same and compete with each other.

We all fight the same battles, I know I do. Sometimes it's harder to see it in our own work.

Keep painting...

As previously mentioned, if you take robots in a distance and make their legs HUGE so their upper bodies will not be visible(what is hinted and not visible is more interesting to me), and FG melted into Mid Ground with color and scale, by adding more people in FG will make it more interesting...

This looks great. Something like French revolution of the future. :)
